"Frisco has been named the Safest City in America for 2 years in a row — this is not by accident. Half of our budget goes toward funding public safety. This last year, we hired the most police officers in the history of Frisco. Frisco wants to hold on to our #1 status. Public safety must always be a city’s top priority."
Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney

We put safety first

The City of Frisco maintains a high-level, award-winning, emergency management division by utilizing cutting-edge technology.

  • Emergency Operations Center (EOC) – We have a state-of-the-art EOC that receives vital information from local TV, cable channels, street cameras, area public safety departments and an advanced weather monitoring service.

  • Situational Awareness For Emergency Response (or SAFER) – SAFER is a unique program that gives Frisco firefighters, EMTs and police officers immediate access to school building information – including 'real time' video – while heading to campus emergencies at any of the district's schools.
