Collin Small Business Development Center provides free business plan consulting and data requests to assist with growing a business. Ask for guidance on external services, resources, etc. The Collin SBDC is a cooperative partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of Texas and Collin College. The Collin SBDC provides free business counseling and is prepared to assist in identifying grant and attractive loan opportunities. For more information, click here.
Workforce, Training, and Employment Resources
Collin College is the Collin County community college district, with the Preston Ridge Campus located in the heart of Frisco. Currently, the College serves more 45,000 students and offers more than 100 degree and certification programs.
Specialized employment and training programs from Collin College include:
Continuing Education and Workforce Development: The CE division of Collin College offers courses and certifications in a wide variety of curriculum, from logistics to human resources to the latest trends in technology and sustainable practices.
Skills Development Fund: In partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission, Collin College offers workforce training through the Skills Development Fund, (SDF). The goal of the SDF is to provide financial assistance to businesses who want to train Full Time Employees or upgrade their worker's skills. Businesses can apply to the SDF via Collin College to receive a grant to meet their customized training needs. The training will be tailored and facilitated through the Grants Management Office at Collin College, which works to promote partnerships and training capacity to attract and retain businesses in the area. Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas, (WSNCT), offers skill development and recruiting services to employers free of charge through the Texas Workforce Commission.

The mission of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce is to protect and promote commerce through advocacy, resources, and connections. Created in 1896 as the French-American Chamber of Commerce and renamed in 2021 as the European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) Texas, the EACC is a multi-national, non-profit organization that seeks to contribute through the efforts of chapters and members to the development and improvement of economic, commercial and financial relations between European nations and the United States. Members are businesses and people involved in European-American commerce or those who have a significant interest in both countries, products, and cultures.
