  • Collin College has Weekend College that gives students a chance to complete their education on the weekend.

  • 2020 and 2021 Innovation of the Year Award Recipient – League for Innovation in the Community College

  • Seven Minnie Stevens Piper Professors

  • Center of Excellence in Nursing Education – National League for Nursing

  • National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA)

  • Over 680 students graduated from Collin College in Spring 2022.

  • Two new programs will save students thousands: the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Collin College and the Collin College Academic Alliance with university partners Texas State University and The University of Texas at Dallas.

  • The college received several grants in 2024 including:

    • A Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) grant to expand adult education and literacy programs across Collin and Rockwall counties;

    • A Skills Development Fund grant, a U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration grant for building infrastructure improvements to support healthcare workforce training at the Plano Campus; and

    • An Advanced Technological Education grant from the National Science Foundation to develop robotic welding curriculum at the Technical Campus.

  • The college continues to develop in-demand programming and launched Esthetician, Medical Massage Therapy, and online project management classes, in addition to offering welding classes in Spanish, through its Continuing Education department.

  • Collin College serves more than 60,000 credit and continuing education students and has a total of 10 locations across Collin County, plus the iCollin Virtual Campus.
