How did Jason W. Taylor find space to grow his tech startup in Frisco? Through a highly skilled talent pool and business-friendly climate, Frisco was the obvious choice.
As President and Founder of Code Authority and the founder of CodeLaunch, Jason W. Taylor provides custom software solutions for growing businesses of all sizes across a variety of industries, from tech startups to the College Football Playoff.
When recruiting talent to staff his growing company, Jason didn’t have to look far. Frisco is home to more than twice the national average of IT workers, and this highly skilled talent pipeline is fueled by Frisco’s higher learning institutions. University of North Texas, a Tier One research university, offers a respected tech degree path, and Collin College is home to one of only four National Convergence Technology Centers in the U.S.
Jason is the founder of CodeLaunch, a traveling event that is reinventing how seed accelerators work. Each CodeLaunch showcases and supports seed funding for a new crop of tech startups by pairing pre-MVP stage founders with professional software developers and investors. Jason’s efforts with CodeLaunch earned him the title of Frisco’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016.
Following the acquisition of CodeLaunch’s parent company by Dallas-based Improving, Jason has set his sights on rolling out CodeLaunch on a national scale to elevate tech startups in every Improving market on a quarterly basis.
When asked why he continues to be based in Frisco, Jason says “Silicon Valley may be a good place to raise money, but North Texas is a much better place to spend it, building and growing the business. It’s not only cheaper for the business in terms of taxes and cost of operations, but it’s cheaper for the employees and stakeholders in terms of cost of living and a very highly rated public school system.”
Frisco is a top choice for established corporations and startups alike that are looking to accelerate growth and take advantage of a dynamic city with every tool for success at their fingertips.
