About Origin
Origin is the City of Frisco’s innovation hub at The Star, created in partnership with Plug and Play to connect startups, investors and corporate leaders through accelerator programs, workshops and community events.
This public–private initiative, envisioned by the City of Frisco and the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, is located inside Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research.
Spanning 6,000 square feet, Origin is a collaborative space where ideas thrive, partnerships form and groundbreaking solutions emerge—positioning Frisco as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and venture capital.
Programming: Industry-specific accelerator cohorts, hackathons, pitch competitions, investor networking, educational programming, workshops and public talks
Space: Flexible offices, meeting rooms, and coworking areas designed for collaboration and demos
Partners: Powered by Plug and Play—its largest U.S. hub outside California—alongside civic, university, and corporate partners
