About Origin:

In partnership with global technology platform and venture investor, Plug and Play Tech Center, Origin is a 6,200 square foot open innovation hub located at the heart of The Star District where innovators, investors, incubators, accelerators, higher education, and corporations collide to drive innovation forward in Frisco, Texas. Origin is industry agnostic and open to the public where you can find educational opportunities, networking events, co-working space, and the critical resources needed to create the technology of tomorrow.   

BACKGROUND:  

In May 2025, the City of Frisco and Plug and Play Tech Center launched Origin, a shared space where Plug and Play offices and the Frisco community of entrepreneurs and innovators can gather to build and accelerate their ideas alongside top corporate decision-makers and capital allocators.  

With corporate neighbors such as Uber Freight, PGA of America, Comerica Bank, TIAA, Gatorade Sports Science, Baker Tilly, Toshiba Global Commerce and more, Origin has become the hub for executives to engage with pioneering founders and disruptive technologies.
